The Surroundings of Mar i Cel
IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE
Our seminar house Mar i Cel is located in the small tranquil vacation area "Cap des Moro" in the middle of the nature reserve of the Park Mondragó.
From the upper terraces of the modern house you have the view of the blue Mediterranean Sea directly in front of our door. To the cliff it is only 200 meters and to the bathing bay s'Amarador with white sand and light turquoise to dark blue water only 1.5 km, according to Geo, one of the most beautiful beaches of Mallorca.
CLOSE TO THE CITY
It is about 6 km as far as Santanyí. Santanyí is a small town in the south-east of the island- a pretty, rural and creative Mallorcan place with a privileged location inland and, at the same time very close to more than 48 km of beautiful coastline and the second largest natural park of the Balearic Islands. This village with its golden sandstone buildings is surrounded by breathtaking nature. There are two large supermarkets, a gas station, boutiques, the very popular weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, handicrafts, pharmacies, AMTS, a bar with live music, exhibitions, an organic shop, doctors and much more.
The picturesque fishing port of Cala Figuera is 10 minutes away by car and Porto Petro is 20 minutes away.
ART & CULTURE
Art plays a central role in Santanyí and you can discover many different galleries and workshops in the narrow streets of the peaceful place.
SWIMMING POOL
For swimmers who like to swim properly, there is a swimming pool in Santanyi, which has an open roof in summer and a heated swimming pool in winter.
